Dunedin born and bred, I have worked on boats for the past 19 years as first mate/relief skipper in the international 'super yacht' industry.   More recently closer to home on my own Luxury vessel taking charters around Dunedin, Moeraki and the Marlbourgh Sounds.

 

 

TIAKINA

 

The Twin Screw Power Vessel Tiakina is a 1950's British made, commercial wooden boat initially commisioned as a pilot boat for the Wellington Harbour Board. We stumbled upon it at Port Chalmers in 2008 and fell in love immediately. We realised there was potential for creating a beautifully restored vessel and a unique, experience-based boutique business that the whole family could be involved in.

The refit was a year in the making with substantial modifications and improvements. The result is well beyond our initial vision and we're very proud to be able to offer her to you for your special occasion.

The Tiakina is a strong, safe and luxurious craft and has been appointed with not only the best technical equipment available, but also to the highest standards in accommodation.
